MTV News had an interview with Taylor Swift talking about her plans for her new album. She also talked about how she love to work with Jack White. You can watch the interview below. You can read it below the video.
Taylor Swift may still be rocking the charts with Fearless, but that doesn’t mean that the 19-year-old isn’t thinking of what her next album is going to sound like. Swift is already in the planning stages for her follow-up, and she promises this one has a lot of personal inspiration to draw on.
“As soon as I put out my last album, Fearless, the next day I was writing for the next album. So I’m always thinking ahead,” she told MTV News. “I love organizing and planning and getting a theme going for the next record.”
Swift has a lot of topics she could cover — being a pop star, touring, fame, reading about herself in the gossip pages — but she’s not divulging what exactly she’ll be touching on in the next LP. “I’m very happy to have that theme, and a lot has happened in the last year that’s been very inspiring,” she said, adding, “It’s a secret.”
Who would Taylor love to collaborate with on this next album? “Jack White … ’cause he’s awesome,” she said about the possibility of working with the White Stripes mastermind. Working with Swift wouldn’t be White’s first foray into country; the singer/songwriter produced and performed on Loretta Lynn’s 2004 album Van Lear Rose. “I love his style,” Swift continued. “I love his writing and I think he’s an amazing player too, so any kind of collaboration there would be really awesome.”
